WHO: Monkeypox Outbreak Does Not Currently Constitute a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC)

After 3 days of deliberation the World Health Organization's Emergency Committee has decided that the current Monkeypox Outbreak - while of serious concern - does not constitute a public health emergency of international concern.

The Committee did advise that the matter may need to be revisited in a few weeks, after more data has been gathered, and outlined several scenarios that might prompt a reassessment.
