CDC COCA Call Tomorrow (Oct 27th): Update on Monkeypox in Children, Adolescents, and People Who are Pregnant or Breastfeeding

#17,084

While the number of Monkeypox cases in the United States continues to trend downward (see chart below), the virus continues to circulate at low levels both here and around the world, presenting challenges to patients and clinicians alike.

Tomorrow the CDC will hold the latest in a series of COCA calls for clinicians on the treatment and management of Monkeypox, this time focusing on infection among children, adolescents, and people who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

As always, if you are unable to attend the live presentation, these (and past) webinars are archived and available for later viewing at this LINK.

Overview

During this COCA Call, presenters will focus on current information about monkeypox as it relates to children, adolescents, and people who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Presenters will address clinical considerations for diagnosis, treatment, and post-exposure prophylaxis; vaccination; contact and breastfeeding recommendations; infection prevention and control measures; and resources available to care for these patient populations.
