While official statements have yet to appear on the Shanghai and Zhejiang Province health department websites, Chinese media sources this morning are reporting – in addition to the 8th fatality – four new cases of H7N9 infection.
Via @Healthmap, we get a link to a report from Chinese National Radio (www.cnr.cn) entitled : National confirmed 28 cases of human infection with H7N9 avian influenza deaths.
Meanwhile Giuseppe Michieli on FluTrackers has picked up two Ifeng reports. If confirmed, that will bring the total to 28 cases.
Hopefully we’ll get some official statements, with crucial data like onset dates, later in the day. I will either update this post, or add another one, if that happens.
