After the close of yesterday’s IHR meeting on the MERS-CoV threat (see WHO Statement On IHR Meeting On MERS-CoV) which concluded that this virus `is serious and of great concern, but does not constitute a Public Health Emergency of International Concern at this time.’ – Dr Keiji Fukuda, Assistant Director-General for Health Security and the Environment, held a 45 minute press conference in Geneva.
