Thanks to the live tweeting by George Chen, Financial editor & Mr. Shangkong columnist @SCMP_News, we have some early information from the press CHP press conference announcing Hong Kong’s second H7N9, both of which have been identified this week.
This case is described as an `imported’ case from the Shenzhen Bay Border region, who was hospitalized on Monday in Hong Kong, but did not develop cough or fever until today. His source of infection is believed to have been live poultry, and there are no signs of human-to-human transmission with this case.
Hong Kong residents are reminded to avoid contact with live poultry.
We should have something official from Hong Kong’s CHP website in the next couple of hours.
