Iran MOH Reports 13 New COVID-19 Cases - 2 Additional Deaths

After spending the past 24 hours downplaying the seriousness and the extent of their COVID-19 outbreak, in the past hour Iran's Ministry of Health has announced another 13 confirmed cases, including two additional deaths.   
This comes only hours after British Columbia announced an imported case from Iran.
While admitting to more cases and deaths, the MOH continues to compare the severity and mortality rate of COVID-19 to H1N1.  Their (translated) statement follows:

735 patients with flu-like symptoms admitted in the country in the past few days / 13 more cases appear to be definitive according to latest test results

According to the Department of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health, thousands of people came to clinics and health centers over the past 735 days due to the seasonal flu outbreak and concerns raised by people about the coronavirus. The case was monitored and hospitalized with flu-like symptoms.
Dr. Kianoush Jahanpour, speaking to a Webda reporter, said: "According to a survey of suspected cases, so far some people have been diagnosed with CVD 19 based on laboratory evidence, and according to the latest The results of the tests revealed 13 new cases to date.
He added: "Of the 13 cases, most are either residents of Qom or have had a history of traveling to Qom in recent days and weeks." Of the 13 newly identified cases from Kovid 19, 7 are in Qom, 4 in Tehran and two in Guilan.
The head of the Ministry of Health's Coronavirus Counterintelligence Committee said: "Two of the newly identified cases have unfortunately also died. There are also two suspected cases of Kovid 19 in Babylon, which apparently had a history of returning from Qom, but the results of tests carried out by these people have not yet been reported.
Dr Jahanpour continued: In Arak yesterday, one of the suspected cases showed Kovid 19, which was reported in yesterday's report, with 8 other suspected cases in Arak based on the final laboratory results. The general condition of a person with Covid 19 in Arak, who is a physician's colleague of ours, is better reported than yesterday. 
He noted: Like the pattern seen in H1N1 flu, severe cases and deaths in Kovir 19 appear to be more common in the elderly or with underlying diseases or immune deficiencies, and the severity of this pathogenicity The virus does not necessarily exceed the H1N1 flu.
