Overnight Tetano, an editor and senior moderator at FluTrackers - who happens to live in Italy - has posted a series of translated media reports on that country's 1st known locally acquired case of COVID-19, involving a resident of the Northern Lombardy region with no recent travel history.
This patient, however, is reported to have dined with a friend in late January who had recently returned from China.
There are also media reports (not yet confirmed on the Italian MOH website) that the patient's wife and a friend have also tested positive for the virus. This translated excerpt rom www.ilmessaggero.it/

This supposed exposure occurred roughly 3 weeks ago, illustrating the impact of a long incubation period and a slow buildup of symptoms, which can delay recognition of the arrival and spread of COVID-19.
