For the second time in the past twelve hours, an infected traveler coming from Iran has been identified by a foreign country. Last night British Columbia announced their 6th case (ex Iran), and at this hour Lebanon's Minister of Health is holding a press conference to announce their case (also ex Iran).
All of this comes after Iran has announced 18 cases, and 4 deaths, from COVID-19 over the past 48 hours. There is no official statement on the Lebanese MOH website, but Reuters (and many other media outlets) are reporting at least one confirmed case, while two others are under investigation.
Lebanon confirms first case of coronavirus
When exported cases start to show up in other countries, it is a pretty good sign that the virus is pretty well established in a community.
