South Korea: COVID-19 Cases Double Overnight (n=104) - 1st Death Reported

Forty-eight hours ago South Korea's COVID-19 case count stood at 31.  Yesterday it increased to 51, as a cluster of cases associated with the Shincheon Daegu Church began to emerge.  Overnight, those numbers have more than doubled, with South Korea's CDC  reporting 104 cases and 1 Death as of 2am (EST) or 1600 hrs KST.
Most of the new cases are from Daegu and Gyeongbuk, with a number of cases linked to  Qingdao Daenam Hospital.

□ The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CEO Eun-Kyung Jung) announced that as of February 20, 20, 16 additional patients were confirmed. 

Of the 22 newly confirmed patients, 21 were identified in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and one in Seoul.
-(21 in Daegu and Gyeongbuk) 5 cases related to Shincheon Jidae Church, 1 case related to New Oriental Hospital, 13 cases related to Qingdao Daenam Hospital (including one death, under investigation)

While 48 hours of activity is a bit soon from which to draw any firm conclusions, and containment in South Korea may still be possible, this is a dramatic and worrisome turn of events.
