#16,835
Last Friday the FDA Granted EUA Status For Moderna & Pfizer COVID Vaccines For Children Down To 6 Months of Age, which was followed the next day by a unanimous approval by the CDC's ACIP group, and an endorsement by CDC Director Rochelle P. Walensky, M.D., M.P.H.
Roughly 18 months after the first COVID vaccines were offered to front-line workers and the most vulnerable senior citizens, the vaccine will finally be available to everyone over the age of 6 months.
Later today the CDC will hold a COCA Call for clinicians on recommendations for the vaccination of children ages 6 months to 5 years of age against COVID.
These presentations are often technical, and are of greatest interest to clinicians and healthcare providers, but also may be of interest to the general public.
I suspect this will be a heavily attended event. If you are unable to attend the live presentation, these (and past) webinars are always archived and available for later viewing at this LINK.

Recommendations for Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Primary Series in Children 6 Months through 5 Years Old
Free Continuing Education
Overview
While children have a lower risk for severe COVID-19 compared to adults, they can get COVID-19, spread it to others, and become seriously ill. COVID-19 vaccination provides protection to children and adolescents against severe illness and outcomes associated with COVID-19, including emergency department or urgent care visits, hospitalizations, and death. During this COCA Call, presenters will discuss CDC’s new guidance on the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine primary series for children ages 6 months through 4 years old for Pfizer-BioNTech and ages 6 months through 5 years old for Moderna, including children who are moderately or severely immunocompromised.
