Italy MOH: 52 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Overnight (n=374)

#14,958

The latest update from the Italian MOH adds another 52 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 2 additional deaths since yesterday's 1600 hrs update.
Although most of the cases in Italy appear to be mild, like Iran, they are reporting an unusually high number of fatal outcomes compared to the overall case count.
Is is possible that Italy is prioritizing the testing of the sickest patients first, which would skew the mortality rate, but it would also suggest a great many more cases are going unidentified.
